Reverend Laura Bogle, Minister
Rev. Laura Bogle began serving as part-time consulting minister with Foothills UU Fellowship in October 2012, and was ordained by the congregation in August 2013. In the Spring of 2018 the congregation voted to call her as our settled minister. Laura continues to serve in a 3/4 time capacity.

Laura was born and raised in Blount County, graduated from William Blount High School, and has spent most of her adult life living in Washington, DC, and Oakland, California. She was thrilled with the opportunity to return to the mountains of East Tennessee to serve Unitarian Universalism in the South, and a new and growing congregation.
Laura’s central metaphor for ministry is gardening - together we plant seeds of Love and nurture them as best we can so that we and future generations may have a harvest of love and health and wholeness.
Laura lives with her spouse Katie and their young daughters. She loves being silly with her daughters, hiking and camping in the Smokies, swimming in mountain streams, digging in the garden, chocolate ice cream, and reading poetry.
Our Music Staff
Jan Coe is a lifelong musician, scientist, and spiritual seeker. She began her career as an Environmental Scientist in Oak Ridge. In 2007 she opened an in home care agency that she successfully built and ran until she retired in 2016. She now spends her time as a sound therapist and musician. Over the years, Jan has served as choir director for Westside Unitarian, ORUUC, and TVUUC and is now pleased to be one of the musicians serving FUUF. In her early days in Oak Ridge she was accompanist and director for childrens’ choirs and was the music director for several shows at Oak Ridge Playhouse. She has been a pianist for over 50 years and has been singing since she can remember.
Hannah White has lived in East Tennessee her entire life and is a lover of the beautiful smoky mountains that surround our area. She is a recent graduate of Maryville College where she received her bachelor’s degree in music and is an active voice teacher in the blount/sevier county area. Along with teaching voice, she is the choral assistant to the Fine Arts Department at Maryville College and also works at the Murder Mystery Dinner Show in Pigeon Forge as an actress. While to some it may seem an overload of work, Hannah finds joy in sharing her talents with the community around her-- which is what has brought her here to FUUF. She is so excited to get to share her gifts with you in worship and to create music with those in this open and kind community.
Dave Dunkirk has been leading church music since he was 15 years old. Initially, this took form as a cantor. In recent years, however, he has been called upon more and more to play the guitar while singing, so that at present, the guitar is an essential part of the music he has to offer. Music is intertwined in his spirituality, and he has called Unitarian Universalism his spiritual home for over 20 years. While his musical obligations include ORUUC as well, he has a special place in his heart for FUUF, where members create their church space each week. He is most proud to be a part of the Foothills community.
