Book Discussion

All are welcome to join us as we discuss the book “Justice on Earth: People of Faith Working at the Intersections of Race, Class, and the Environment” edited by Manish Mishra-Marzetti and Jennifer Nordstrom. This book is the 2018-2019 Common Read for Unitarian Universalists, and is an anthology with writings by 14 acitivst ministers and lay leaders in Unitarian Universalism today. They examine ways that capitalism, white supremacy, patriarchy, and other systems of oppression intersect with and contribute to ecological devastation. In addition they explore how our faith calls us to the long-haul work for justice for our human kin, the Earth, and all life. Each essay is accompanied by suggested ways to take the next steps for further learning and action
