UU Pathways-Faith Development

Join Rob Spirko Sunday after the service for the next installment of UU Pathways, where we explore key areas of what it means to be UU.

This month’s meeting is on faith development.  One of the key points of our congregational mission is to “encourage spiritual growth.” So—how do we encourage that spiritual growth? What does it mean to develop one’s faith?  We’ll talk about our own experiences with religious education, whether in “Sunday School” or other places, and look at the history and philosophy of UU faith development—and why we’re moving away from “religious education” to “faith development” as a term. We’ll also hear from people who have participated in or led Faith Development in our (and other) UU congregations.

UU Pathways is geared towards people newer to Unitarian Universalism, but having been to a few sessions last year—and now leading them—I can say it’s a good experience for someone who’s been around a while, as well.  Hope to see you on Sunday!
